Got my $75 SKS today

For some reason my SKS shoots better with the bayonet on and out. Honest, it’s like it changes the harmonics of the barrel so much that I actually gets 5inch groups instead of large pizza box size groups.

yeah it is true, SKS are designed to shoot with the bayo on and out...

These are great rifles for $75. Mine shot great straight out of the box. This target was shot at 100m, iron sights, top of sights lined up centre between the top red circles, no sight adjustment.

I was super happy (except for that little guy bottom right lol).

Of course your accuracy may vary. My cousin got one and he can't get it on paper at 100m. We have to sight it when the weather gets better. We bought one of those sight tools to use.

Thats a great grouping for a chinese sks... only you need to lower youre front sight so it hits higher.
You want to aim at the bottom of the large target at 25 yds and get youre shots right where you aim.
At 100 yds, you aim at the bottom of target again, but the shots will hit about 3 inches high(bulls eye). Thats sweet perfection out of an SKS.:D

Thanks. I am going to muck around with the sights once we get some nicer weather here and I can stand being outside for more than an hour or two.

The 100 meter target was no problem, but it started getting really sketchy at 200, so I know the sights aren't right where they should be yet.

Got my $75 SKS about 2 weeks ago, took a few days to clean the goop off of it, and took it out today for the first time. Put 255 rounds through it, worked perfectly even with the occasional round that was dropped in the snow, quickly wiped off and then loaded.
Sights need adjustment - seemed to be shooting about 6 inches high at ~75 yards (mind you, that was on the 100 yard setting, so who knows, maybe it'll be accurate at 100 yds?). In terms of fun per dollar spent, nothing much comes close to this, nowadays.
