Got my Armalite .308 carbine upper today (thanks Wolverine):rockOn::dancingbanana:. 16"upper complete with BCG for $895. You can't beat that with a stick. Now I just have to figure out optics for it. Definately going to throw on a scope and head to the range if the rain stays away this weekend. Major differance weight wise between my two uppers, this one feels like a toy (which it is I guess:D)

Cool. You should fire sale that bottom upper. Clearly you don't need it anymore. :p

All joking aside. You should mention in your thread that you made that lower. I'm envious of that. You need to make another lower for that upper. I can only live so long with an upper that's not a complete rifle. 16" upper looks like fun.
 
Yes my partner in crime at work and I made a couple of AR10 lowers from scratch. At that time lowers were just about unobtainable so we made a couple. thought about doing it again, but they are now fairly easy to get and cheap enough that it isn't worth it other than just being able to say you've done it.
