Rattled in and shot a nice 4x4 whitey with my TC Encore. I have no idea how to post pics, so hopefully I can get my little bro, Huntsman, to do it for me. 3 777 Pellets 200 gr Hornady sst.
Now my season is over.....1 bull elk, 1 bull moose and 1 buck. This was by far the most enjoyable hunting season for me ever.

Yahoo!!!!!! I figured out how to post photo's!!!

Re: Got my Buck

Machinistbutler........email sent........Thanks guys for the comments. He's not the huge bruiser I jumped going to may stand, 8X8,,,,yes an 8x8, he had a body on him like a small horse. I rattled and grunted him in after jumping him, only to have him sneak up behind me at 60 yards, grunt at me and run. I got him stopped and just as I shot he jumped again, I missed! but he'll be out there for next year I hope.

This 4x4 I shot with my TC Encore at 104 yards. He was trotting in to my rattling form 200+ yards. I was aiming at him while holding my rattle bag and ended up dropping the bag, 20 feet down, he stopped and I shot. The only real ripe rutty smell on him was the glands on his back leags, once skinned the carcass smelled fine.

Re: Got my Buck

PS

This is the first of 4 animals I took with my muzzleloader that I was able to see drop. There was a cross wind that blew all of the smake away and I saw him hit the dirt. Everything else I had to wait for the smoke to clear to see the animal laying on the ground.

BIGREDD beat me to the question..... Looks like a very nice sized buck! I recently acquired an Encore with a 50 cal muzzle load barrel... and haven't had a chance to use it. Am also interested in what load you recommend?? Thanks... AP
