Got my bull moose today!!!

Got my bull moose today, not the biggest bull but he's a real trophy to me , real heavy 15 pointer, shot him with my Sako 30-06 with 200 grain nosler partition hand loads. shot him around 8:30 this morning after pic's and field dressing and quartering, got him to the road about 5;30 this afternoon , big fellow like this is very hard to pack out of the woods on my freighter frame but know it's all done .

moose season

Nice moose, when does your season end for them?

The season started here on September 8 , ends december 9. Long season but the early part of it is too warm , towards end of season is better for tracking and were we go, it's a lot cleaner in the snow for packing the quarters out , no flies and snowmobile really helps. this moose was gotten appr. 15 klms from my house in the country.

Next season I will be hunting moose alone.

Nothing to be scared of really. Moose are dumb, just hide behind a tree or shoot em if you have no other options if your being charged.

I am more worried about being stalked by a Cougar if anything.
And again, congrats on the moose! now that I can see it better it looks like a perfect eater!
