Picked up my Burnt Bronze BCL 102 today, after reading through some of the BCL threads I realized there isn't many pictures of the bb models out there and many people are curious! Here she is in all its non restricted glory. I fired about 10 rounds when I picked it up out of sheer excitement but realized quickly that it needs a good cleaning before I play with it to much. Had one FTF but ill chalk that up to my own fault for firing a new gun with steel cased ammo without cleaning it. All in all im happy with it and see that it is a quality made gun. Only question or concern I have is that me and a fellow gun range member noticed that the receiver doesn't seem to be running parallel with the barrel. It looks like the barrel is slightly angled downward from the receiver. This could just be an "optical illusion" but wondered if anyone else noticed this with theirs or if it is maybe supposed to be like this for long range shooting or something along those lines? Admittedly I didn't do as much research as I should have before preordering so im not 100% clear on all the specs, so any info or direction to useful threads would be appreciated

Nice I got a burnt bronze too but the only thing that is gonna be bronze is the receiver after i swap parts. Might get it all recoated from blackbox

Nice! I was very happy with mine when it showed up, still zero complaints.. going to order a few things for it tho

nice id love to see some more pictures once people start building them. Thinking about starting off with an aim point or eotech red dot because most of my shooting will be done at an indoor 50 yard range

I've put 700+ rounds in my bronzed BCL-102 and here are my numbers:
I got 3 stovepipes while shooting it dirty and dry (2 with 110gr Hornady TAP-FDP and 1 with 155gr Hornady Steel Match) out of the first 200 rounds.
After that, I cleaned it and lubed it and it's been 100% reliable every since.

The accuracy numbers:
Remington 180gr Core-Lok around 2 MOA for 5 shots groups (40 rounds fired)
Hornady 110gr TAP-FDP around 1.75-2 MOA for 5 shot groups (40 rounds fired)
Hornady 155gr Steel Match 1.5 MOA for 5 shot groups (700+ rounds fired)
(I've seen a couple of 0.75-1 MOA groups, many 1 MOA groups say 10-15% of the time and the rest around 1.5 MOA like clockwork)

I changed the factory trigger for a Gisele SSA-Enhanced, am planning to change the buffer and gas block to minimize recoil.
This is a MIL-spec rifle so the trigger is heavy single stage one and the rifle overgassed (both of these are normal for MIL-spec rifles).

In short, I'm extremely satisfied with my rifle and will try some 168-175gr match ammo as soon as possible.
Pros:
* non-restricted
* it's a 308 win rifle
Cons:
* it's MIL-spec (heavy with stiff trigger)
* it's a 308 win rifle (expensive ammo and recoil is an issue - compared to 223)

Well that makes me feel a little better about the issues I had my first time out, Im quite sure it just needs a good cleaning and lube. I've heard that the best trigger options so far are giessele and trigger tech but waiting to see what other options will prove to be good and reliable before I make the jump to buy one. Until then Im trying to decide on a solid optic, leaning towards and aim point PRO

Cleaning and properly lubing the rifle fixed all my reliability issue.
Afterwards, the rifle seemed 2-3 times easier to cycle and 110gr worked perfectly.
I went for Giessele because it does not impact hammer strike and therefore reliability.!
As for optics, I prefer a good quality 3-15 or 1-4 scope depending on usage.
This only depends on your eyesight and needs : 30 years ago iron sights and a 4x scope was all I needed.

Well I got it all cleaned up and lubed so ill report on how it shoots when I get out next weekend. Yeah the question of what optic seems to really come down to personal preference, I shoot indoor within 50 yards normally and have a decent 4x-12 sitting in my cabinet to put on for longer distances so I think a good close quarter optic would work great for me right now

Sharp looking rifle

I agree. I like the look of them. Even though I have a Stag 10 build in progress (would be done but the wrong barrel was shipped), I will be keeping my BCL 102. It's a nice hobby grade AR308 rifle. I might put a heavier barrel on it and go 6.5 CM though for an all out target version. Here's how mine is currently configured... It's "FDE" not burnt bronze. I really do like the burnt bronze colour as well.

Mine has been cleaned/oiled and is ready to go. I have spent some time with the paracord trick and I believe I now have the stock trigger at a point that I can use it for accuracy without having to replace it. I'll have to see how it is once I'm actually shooting and not just dry firing.

Two of them in stock configuration (only one is mine).
