first off, ordered straight from the DAA site on the 14th, and got them today. ive had stuff take longer to get from ontario to bc and i paid more for shipping, so big win on that.

they are plastic, but they feel strong and high quality, i wouldnt worry about them breaking ever and the color shows up really nice (i went with blue).

tension system is great and the same as a racemaster, same with how they mount to your belt. fits a bit tight IMO on my m&p mags, but can adjust that by bending the leaf spring that is part of the tension system (to tight back to front btw)

now there is one small issue and one GLARING issue ive found so far.
the small one is that i ordered 5 pouches and one was missing 1 out of 2 screws to hold it to my belt. annoying especially because i have to get a replacement all the way from the netherlands (or more likely, go buy a local one)

however the glaring issue is I went to put the first one on my belt and was having issues getting the screw it. I take a look at it, oh the screw is not long enough to even engage the body of the mag. even when i put one screw in first, had the metal bar at a 30 degree angle then put my whole upper body weight on it i couldnt get that second one in. I may have been able to with alot more screwing around and what not but the allen key was digging into my hand and i got fed up.

This wouldnt be such a big problem (easily fixed with longer screws) and i wouldnt be pissed about it except for the fact that i have a month old DAA belt! if i was trying to use a cr speed or some other brand, ok well thats kind of my fault, but your mag pouches dont fit on your own belt? W.T.F. is it that hard to grab one off the shelf and try to put the pouches on? shouldnt that be part of testing? im sending an email about it and ill update with what happens, but in the mean time im still without mag pouches, which is awesome.

The mounts and screws look the same as my aluminum ones, they were hard to get on also but I defiantly got them on... I had to start the one screw half a turn then compress the belt and force the other screw in, I may have used a socket and ratchet for more leverage...

don't remove the screws from the belt hanger (the ones that you have at least). loosen them off as much as possible, then force your belt in. They are tight by design, very very tight. that's to prevent wiggle when you are running and gunning. The back plate is just for positioning them really.

got an email back from them, they knew they are really hard to put on but apparently most of the time if you have a allen headed screw driver (i dont) you can put one side in a single turn (seems very secure to me /sarcasm) and then i assume have your entire family push on the other side and force it down juuuuuuuuust far enough to get a single thread engaged on the other side. AWESOME product design, whoever was in charge of testing and approving this crap for shipping should be fired.

on the plus side for anyone who hasnt ordered yet, they are shipping them now with longer screws as well as modifying the tooling for i assume a deeper channel. and if you have ordered but havent received them yet send an email and get them to send the screws so your arent staring at $225 worth of gear you need and cant use for 2 weeks. also telling them they are morons for shipping such bs in your email would make me feel better as i feel that my very long angry reply is not enough punishment

robs tried his method at the range, worked so well one of the screws stripped the one thread that was engaged and flew down the range so far that we couldnt find it with 6 people looking for 10 min. not a huge loss as the screw was useless anyways but no way it was going to work and personally id like more than one thread engaged on my pouch, 2 at the very least.

i would like to underline the fact that they knew that their pouches barely if at all fit on their own G.D. belts and then still went "yea we should sell these" THERE OWN PRODUCT DOESNT FIT THEIR OTHER PRODUCT!!!!!"

man im pissed

Offer of a set of screws for Friday is still there, just tell me the size and the thread. I'll bring them Friday.

I'd have probably shot them by now. Only with 10 rounds though, since I wouldn't have a spare mag to grab..

No idea. Email Saul or Eli at DAA they can tell you. Probably a M2 or something.

join the club dude.
they are good guys though, very patient and willing to work with you to solve issues.

are those screws really that big? M4? hmm my metric must be off.
