In my experience 3" slugs can be the most brutal in a shotgun with a pistol grip, and esp' if it is a light shotgun.

Even 2 3/4" slugs will recoil more than a pheasant load... but 3" would be BRUTAL in that little number (IMHO)

My KAC grip just doesnt seem right stick out to the side a-la SMG mag.

I think they re-braze the mag tube to the receiver and leave the threaded end as is.

I would take a guess and say 3lbs. maybe slightly more but not more then 4
