Got My First AR15!

So I picked up my first AR at my local gun store, a SW MP15. With the help of some site sponsors and the EE have a bunch of parts on the way to tacticool it! Will update pics once parts start rolling in, can't wait to get the the range!
 
Welcome to the club. The best thing is to shoot shoot shoot and then decide what you'd like to change...it will save you $$ in the long run
 
Thanks guys. I picked up an EOtech 512 on the EE, FDE Magpul MOE kit thanks to CTCSupplies(almost impossible to find for me, he hooked me up!), FDE Magpul Pmags 30/5, Ambi sling mount, single point sling, Grippod foreend (not sure I'm going to dig it but we'll see), and a light with a pressure switch just to get things started lol

It sounds like you've got everything pretty well lined up! I like Magpul gear a lot and the Eotech will be a very good fit for the rifle. Time to get it all installed and new pictures taken!
 
Looks like you bought the "Sport" model. We've got two in the family now. Both came with pretty good triggers. Can't say I miss not having the FA or the ejection port cover.

I had a Magpul fore end and PG on mine and took them off. I actually prefer the factory fore end. Feels better in my hand in all positions. I did put on SOG butt stock pads and they feel pretty good compared to the bare factory butt.

In the current "Special Weapons" magazine there is an article on a bare bones direct impingement Patrol Carbine they call their AR-556. It's got both a FA and dust cover, 1X8" twist. MRSP $749 USD. If I was to add another AR 15 to the fold, I'd try a Ruger AR-556. Hard to beat the Ruger warranty.

I like simplicity in all my guns.

Except in Canada, where Ruger warranty is more prayer than service,

The front sight of one of my wife's SR1911's sheared off and we sent the slide to the Canadian Ruger warranty rep. It was back with a new front sight 10 days later.

Your experience may differ .....
