Got my new-to-me Savage Revelation 135. These Model 87-based guns are great

Bought a Savage Revelation 135 on the EE a while back, potentially to replace another rifle of mine. It's the basic Savage "gill gun" or "click clack gun," but without the forward locking point to shoot as a bolt action. My first-ever gun I owned was a Model 87 .22 that had the bolt action capability, and it was very accurate. So accurate that, when I sold it, I was disappointed to discover that no .22 I've owned since has come close, unless I scoped it (and barely kept up with it then, within 30 yards anyway).

Took the 135 out to a gravel pit, stuffed it with Blazer, bang bang bang bang bang. These things are great! So much more fun to shoot than a 10/22, and more accurate than the Rugers I've owned, too ... I found another Model 87 project recently, so maybe it's time to see if that one can match its younger .22LR-only cousin.

Why don't these rifles get more credit? They're always super cheap, and I've always found mine to be reliable and extremely accurate!
