Got the Norenco Gi M305 in the mail yesterday. Cleaned the cosmoline off the rifle and did an inspection. The sights were aligned and barrel registration was good. The stock did not suffer from the previous imperfections such as sharp edges etc. Over all the rifle was top shelf in appearance other than a few rough edges in machining etc., but hey its a battle rifle and it ante no Swiss watch.
I do not know how the head space is as I do not have the tools to check it. I will have that done later by a smithe. Will probably order a GI bolt from the states. Bought a box of 308 Fusion ammunition and headed for the sticks. Stuck a gong up at 50 yards or so and adjusted the sights to where I thought they should be. (The sights appeared to move as expected both elevation and windage) Loaded up the magazine box with 5 rounds locked and loaded. First round hit the gong, second round hit the gong, and on it went for 10 rounds. This rifle is way too much fun. Over all at first look this rifle seems to be a shooter and a keeper. I do believe that it is minute of moose all day long. I forgot how well balanced and shootable the M14 is as it has been 35 years since I was issued one, I ante given this one back to the armory. A deal no matter how U cut it at the current Marstars price of 599.

Nice. Picked up mine last week from my local Canadian tire. Haven't had her out yet. Going to see Barney on the weekend to get it checked out and grab a spring guide. Glad to hear yours is shooting well. Can't wait to empty a few mags
