Got my original Trapdoor this week!

My original Springfield Trapdoor 45-70 rifle Model 1884 that I bid on in the recent Kull & Supica auction arrived this week. It is in sweet shape! Bore is shiny, sharp rifling and no pitting at all that I can see. I still want to dismantle it and clean it up without marring it's original finish. Any advice when taking these apart?

OK best advise is to get Screw Drivers that fit the *BIG* Screws Slot Perfect and Tight.
I seen more Great guns de valued by guys with there Cheep crappy fitting Screw drivers buggering the Screw slots or the Screw drivers skip outa the slots Scrapeing the finish all to crap.

I think I'm okay there. I got a set of gunsmith hollow ground screwdrivers from Brownells.
