Got My PAL/RPAL in the mail today

I checked the mail and I found my PAL/RPAL waiting in the box just for me. Now to wait for the people I bought guns off of to start the transfer and if all goes well I should have my gun end of this week or beginning of next.

YAY so excited.
 
I've been waiting for quite some time now for my RPAL, it's status has been "preliminary completed" forever now, no phone calls to my references it really sucks.

If it's been longer than 45 days call them. Sometimes they just need a question answered and if you call them instead of waiting for them to call you it speeds up the process.

CALL THEM. After 45 days you should have been called and have it either in your hand or denied


When I got the call from the CFO I was shocked 27 days in processing only asked 20 questions 3 about why I wanted my RPAL. References are in the same house so killed 3 birds with one stone got it 12 days after it got approved

ya lucky sob:D congrats. i got my pal a while ago but am waiting for my restricted:runaway:
 
so when everyone says 10-12 days for mailing does that include weekends? my pal/rpal was approved thursday so non weekends makes 3, counting weekends makes me half way through the wait. :)

They did mention that it was after the web site said they were approved and in the mail.

Thanks I've put over 500 down the .22 lever actions pipe with more planned. As for shooting buddies.....I have none yet well I have my brother but that's family so he doesn't count as he's gone out 3 times about 1/4 as much as me. I am not getting a Pistol or a gun I need my RPAL for at this time as I can barely afford to shoot the two guns I have now. I need more income. I got the RPAL more for possible employment reasons.
 
so i found out my licence was mailed to me yesturday (thursday). I'm not sure how long it would take to arrive in oshawa. but im going out of town for a week thursday morning. I'd hate to have a gun licence sitting in my mailbox for that long, should i put a hold on my mail or can anyone guess if it will arrive by wednesday?

I just checked with my friends mom (who is a canada post supervisor) and she said it should take 3 days max unless its christmas.
also i found out from the cfo's office that licences are only mailed on thursdays. just incase anyone wanted to know

Figure on one week minimum and most likely two weeks from yesterday. Just because it says issued doesn't mean it's instantly in the mail. It isn't even printed at that point.

Edit: Unless they actually told you it's in the mail verbally and not the website status.

yeah they said it was mailed this thursday. that just passed, it was approved the thursday before
