Well, I finally got my PAL, and i'm looking to get a .22.
Right now I'm leaning towards the Henry Lever action .22.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or comments about this gun?
Probably gonna head out and get it this week, so just leave a comment and let me know!

Thanks,
Andrew

UPDATE

Well, went out this morning, got the Henry, bought a few boxes of ammo and took a little trip out to the hills.
Finally got a chance to shoot at some Gophers, and all I can say is WHAT A BLAST!
My Bro got 3, and I think I knicked a couple, but they all got down underground before we could tell.

Whammy nice going on the new purchase, glad ya had a good time. Now here's what you really need to do, go to your favorite gun shop and buy several different packs of 50 rounds, then buy some targets, then find a nice steady rest and shoot all of these bullets at the target. Your new 22 just like all of our 22's has one type of ammo that it will shoot better than all the other types of ammo, and the only way to find out which ammo that is , is to test several variety's. And when you find it, those gophers won't be getting back down their holes after you shoot them. FS

Yeah... no hunting license is required in Alberta, and for the most part, law enforcement will not hassle you for PAL / registration unless there has been a crime committed.

Thanks for the comments guys!

We shot for a while just at pop cans and I found that my gun liked the CCI Stingers, and also wasn't too bad on the Remington Vipers...
In a couple weeks my Bro and I are going to be going out to a range with some targets to sight in both of our rifles and try out some new ammo though.

I didn't think you needed a hunting license in AB, you got me feeling guilty there for a second! Not to worry either way though, as I am getting a shotgun later this summer so that I can go get in some bird hunting!

I think I hate you guys!! ;)

Hey whammy, which Henry model did ya get?
I was thinking of ordering the carbine version through Russell's.
(Still gotta sell the Glock though :( )
My buddy's got the Golden Boy. Very slick, nice to shoot.
Have fun out there!!

PAL took about 2 months, they sent me a letter saying that they required more info, I phoned in and gave it and I had my PAL in a week.

ontgunner, I just got the basic model, and no complaints here, its an absolute blast to shoot, SMOOOOOOOOOOTH action, not picky on the ammo so far.
