Got my self a 12.5 Grizz Mag...:) But..

I picked this up last night.. looks really good :

But as i started playing with it i noticed a few issues..
when ever i try to #### it, it gets really stiff by the very front..(maybe last 1/2"of the way), i really have to push hard to complete the action... then i noticed, that if i loosen the front cap a bit (magazine cap), it gets better, and if i tighten it really hard (with a key/wrench) the foregrip barely moves....

Does any one else experienced a similar problem...?

or is that something i should expect from Dominion Arms.. ??
 
Just getting it strait - with the mag tube cap tight, it's hard to push the pump all the way forward towards the muzzle, and with it loosened off it's easy. Right?

My guess is something is rubbing somewhere. Probably pump against the barrel, or between the barrel and mag tube? Just my 2C

at first i thought so.... but then i took the bolt assembly out and tried to do the same thing, and it was very smooth.. no problem...
I think it has something to do with tat hook located on the top of the bolt assembly.. almost looks like it doesnt fall in to place on time... weird..:confused:
 
hmm tell me more, i wanna check back to this thread because i'm thinking of getting one in june when they come out in marstar and if i have the same problem i can jump back here and check it out haha glad u got it fixed

i'll try to change back to original foregrip tomorrow...and see if that helps...

by the way... do you know if i can have a heatsheild on 12.5 barrel? if i can, then wich one will fit, or what mods do i have to do to it to make it fit.....

I'm aiming for this look...: getting the S&J rail/adapter next week.. :)

your issue is the houge forend, it will need a little triming ect to work well, i have done this to a few DA mag guns.
Tell you what as your getting the stock adaptor set from me, if you want to ship your gun and all the parts you plan on useing for this build to me and ill put them all togeather and fine tune the gun for you.

Yes ... Thank you for a very generous offer, but I have to agree with Millwright..
I love to work on guns .. And don't mind to spend some time to figure stuff out :)

I changed the fore grip to stock one and it still does it..... if i tighten the mag cap nice and tight... the forend stops 1/2 inch to early and fails to #### the hamer.. but if i loosen the cap a bit it works fine... (How tight does it have to be...? according to grooves on it, it should be tighten with a some tool.. )

no tool needed but it should be tight

Congrats on your new purchase, Looks great! The mag cap should only be hand tight, No tools, Just snug. Check to see where its binding & adjust. The M/fs didnt come with that bbl so some fitting may be in order to fine tune it. Welcome to the grizz club!

The mag fed Grizzlies were never made with a 12.5" barrel to my knowledge, so the cycling issue could be caused by the replacement barrel not fitting correctly? I'm also part of the Grizzly Gang with my 15" Grizzly. :)
