Alright, as the title suggests, it's time to put my new RPAL to work. I've been looking around locally, and I think I've got my picks for final contenders.
I'm after a 9mm, full size gun (big guy, big hands), for general plinking/target work. I may get into IPSC and such later on, we'll see. Max budget is ~$1000, preferably less.
So, I'm looking at 3 guns, mainly:
CZ 75 BD, pre-owned but in great shape at Cabela's Gun Library. M&P 9, new. Or a Beretta 92A1, also new.
I've heard good things about all three, and they all feel good in my giant mitts (the Beretta fits me slightly better, but not much difference really). Overall I really like all three guns, and the prices are close enough to not make any huge difference.
So what do you guys say? Any clear favorites? Should I avoid any of them? Anything at all to put one or another ahead of the pack? Any other options out there I should be considering aside from these locally available ones?
If they're all equal, I think the CZ wins on price alone, but it's a really close call. What do you guys think?
