Go read RCMP special bulletin number 72 for your answer. Mags are restricted to what they were designed to carry, not what you can put in them of a different caliber. Case in point, beretta 96 mags. There are limited to 10 rnd of .40 but will hold 12 rounds of 9mm and it's fine. RCMP say so in the bulletin 72. This 5 rnd .50 cal mag is no different.but I don't see why they wouldn't be
I challenge anyone to call their CFO's office and ask for a licence to make regular capacity mags, ie 5 round rifle or 10 round pistol mags to see what they are told. They will be told no license is needed because regular capacity mags are not a controlled item.
