Got Snow????

Snow? , no thankyou!
I was just talking to my soon to be daughter in law and she says Muskoka is suppose to get snow tonight.

I drove up Sudbury way yesterday and it was fairly mild, nice weather. Woke up this morning to 2 inches of wet snow, supposed to be more on the way. I'm back in the not so sunny south tonight. High winds and rain in Guelph, no snow. A week from now I will be on a beach in Hawaii, let it snow let it snow let it snow! LOL

It started snowing here about an hour ago. The roads are slicker than frog fur

Oh well, I guess it is that time of the season. Just dont know if I am ready for another 7 months of this crap though :(

ok friday morning at 4am it started here lightly , by 7 am a full set of tripple chains couldnt hold a logging truck to the ground, and it didnt stop until yesterday around 3pm and we finaly got hydro back around 10pm last night

this is my logging truck at 8am saturday morning

you cant see it but it went BANG yesterday :runaway: , in tottal we had over 5 feet of snow in 32 hours being very wet and heavy its settled to about 4.2 feet now thismorning

was a great wake up call for poeple who didnt have back-up plans , we were fine but had alot of company trying to keep warm and cook food without power for 24 hours and -0 to -4 outside and no available transportation exept the kids sleds (which the rcmp didnt even say squat about going up and down the road transporting people) we still cant leave our yard estimated 48 hours for snowplows to get to the avenues and side streets

we havent seen snow like this since I was about 7 years old, last winter we had a TOTAL of 3 feet and it melted and temps were from +5 to -15 all winter long, this was a FREAK thing , but hey we get to use the sleds this year at least for somethng other than lawn ornaments

I was wondering about you guys up there Bones - sounded pretty wild on the news thismorning. Did I hear right that the main transmission line is out?? Plus lots of distribution lines I'm sure.......

axle is cheap from auto yards , and yes Salty, from ft st james to the hazeltons was out, we have limited power now with bad fluctuations in it but about 20% of the area is still out, Bullcoon is down and out as several trees went down on lines out in fort fraser, now some brightass is calling for 2 more feet of the fine stuff, we still had transformer boxes blowing up thismorning and the town is comendeering anyone with a snowplow on a truck or quad to help out, dosnt look like schools will open , no sidewalks are cleared yet thisevening and its 1 1/2 lane traffic on highway 16, and all side streets and avenues are single lane only still ...... heck we made the news finaly on BCTV WOOOHOOO haha

Damn!
It snowed out here in the Fraser Valley with the hail for a while, went from 9deg down to 1 in like 30 mins...it was creepy.

All my leaves are in my neighbours yard now!! hahaha

Heard on the news last night, there is five feet of snow where we went Moose hunting four weeks ago, they are trying to use choppers to airlift the work crews outa there!

Two hunters are also missing in the area, keep them in your prayers fellahs!
The area is hard enough to get around when there wasn't any snow at all, I can't imagine 5 feet of the stuff.
