Haven't tried any of this stuff yet so I'm looking forward to seeing how it shoots.....
(the AE is the solid 40grn'ers, have tried the 38grn hollow points before)

You have two polar opposites here...

Lapua is the cream of the crop, and AE is the crud that's left over and has to scraped off.

I honestly would go and buy a box of everything out there and see what you and your rifle liked shooting the most.

some say they never clean their .22LR's very much...but it can take quite a few rounds to get a rifle accustomed to a new cartridge...tho it was recommended to me that you can just do a quick cleaning and it would help accustom the rifle to the new round quicker and let you see whether the rifle likes it or not. :D

I've shot the lapua master M before (it's very consistent) but haven't shot the standard club (cheaper but hopefully pretty good) or the Midas L (more expensive again and a different diameter than the Master M I believe....

The Lapua Midas Ammo you have is very old - but the Midas I had in that box configuration (modern midas boxes/master boxes look much differenct) shot quite well in my 52. Standard club, aka Lapua Superclub (standard club is just sold for cheaper and come in bulk tins where as the Superclub comes in indivual boxes shoots well in most of my guns.

Overall however the most consistent ammo I have found is Eley Match EPS and Eley Tenex Ultimate EPS.

X2!! I have had some excellent results with Midas M in a couple of rifles, but Superclub is a great ammo in my 541T Sporter as shown by the 5-shot groups at 50 shown here. Regards, Eagleye

Great shooting Dave - those are some great groups (gotta like the bottom left)

Super7 - Here is how Midas/Master/EPS compared in my winchester 52. Groups aren't quite as great as Dave's but still average just a tad over 1/4" ;) 5 shot groups 50 yards.

Did get one good group though (5 shots, 50 yards, Lapua Master M)

My CZ 452 American shoots the American Eagle 38 gr hp's quite well. I'm not talking anything that a target shooter would brag about, but for less than $1.40 a box, I'm happy. They print a consistent 3/4" group at 50 yards. I think that's about all I need from them shooting at gophers.

Nothing shabby about your groups Jordan!!! I like that nice round one you showed last. Too bad a guy couldn't do that all the time ;):D I had a good day when I shot those Superclub groups, but, in all fairness, That 541T is a ringer, and will put them in if I do my part. My 52C is sure doing well with that Eley EPS match. Just need to get used to the "heftier" feel of the 52.
