i was at crappy tire today. who am i kidding im there all the time. so once again im looking through the ammo through the glass. seeing if i find any 12g stuff that tickles me the right way. and i found something that tickled me all too well. 3" magnum slugs. bastards arent cheap at almost 8 bucks for 5. a bit pricier than tha 15 2 3/4 hollow point rifled slugs i picked up for just under 15 bucks. but i was feeling generous and my shoulder felt strong. wonder how bad that poor 14" hp9 is gonna kick me in the shoulder when i put these down the tube :D

ya 3" can get pricey. what type did you go with? If you really want to have fun pick up some federal classic 3" 547 grain (1 1/4 oz.)...definetely loaded for a long barrel, advertised MV is 1750 fps!

lol, I went in the exact opposite direction today. I'm taking my girlfriend out shooting tomorrow, so bought some low recoil remingtons so she won't get scared off.

snap caps are a blessing too. "pump, now pull the trigger. See? its going to be just like that but with a little push and a lot of bang."

they came in a silver box, cant remember the brand off the top of my head. from crappy tire. think they only carry 3 or so brands. pricey yes. but i look forward to trying to hit something big with it to see how it breaks it up. maybe ill go to a buddys place and we'll shoot some fun reactive targets and get some video of it :D

the low recoil stuff isnt bad. id say get her to fire it from the hip first and stand behind her for it. i found the recoil on the 14" to be minimal shooting from the hip. but even shooting from the shoulder it isnt bad. i cant wait to see what kind of damage itll do. maybe ill try to find an old car door or something, lol

our slug selection isnt that great around here. unless you go to the range or a store in another city there isnt much to choose from. wally world and crappy tire are the two closest places. luckily they carry cheap shells that are just fun to shoot off

Same here, wally world doesnt even carry slugs and crappy tire varies. The remington managed recoil are nice and light, just a little more than winchester universal 1 1/4 oz. TVPressPass Id start off with proper form and shoulder mount (right after safety, of course) she'll handle those slugs just fine

Please shoot some of the following: REMINGTON 3" Buckhammer's 1500ft/sec; colorfully referred to as ****hammers :D

Better yet, take some video and post review ;)

haha if i can find some ill get video of my firing them off. maybe ill get lucky and miss the target at the range and hit the big 4x4 inch frame everything is attached to. haha. :D

actually ive been trying to get my fiance to come shooting for a while, she has no interest in it just like she doesnt wanna ride on my bike. but id like her to know how to use the guns incase she ever needs to use them. ill have to try some low recoil stuff for her too.\

my little brother handled the clay shot pretty good. he even hit some stuff at close range with the shotgun. seems that out of my gun collection all of us had the most fun with that hp9 vs my sks my buddies sks and his mosin that day we went shooting

think theyre safe to put through the little 14" lol. dont wanna have a barrel explosion of any kind. haha

Let a guy put a 3" 1 1/4oz Federal slug through my 14" Norinco, first time he'd ever shot a firearm from what I understood. They're fun, just don't shoot a milk jug full of water at point blank range

the explosion will be outside the barrel :D youre 14" is chambered for 3" and therefore can handle any 3" 12 ga. shotgun shell on the market. It has been proofed to fire them and mfr's load them within safe limits. If it says 12 ga. and 3" or less then youre good to go. I get a pretty good muzzle flash with the 3" Fed. classic slugs out of an 18.5", I could just imagine the horrendous fireball that would come out of a little 14" barrel :)

haha wicked, ill be sure to get some hd video of it blowing fire and share it on here :D
im still trying to find just the right thing to destroy with these slugs. at almost 8 bucks for 5 i wanna make sure whatever i rip through will be worth the money :D

I went and bought about 15 of these bad boys today. My god they are magnificent. I put on in the tube, followed by 3 Winchester Ranger Buck.

boom (chnk-chnk), boom (chnk-chnk), boom (chnk-chnk), indescribable sound and flash, (chnk)

Ill try and get a video, its hilarious.

haha wicked, get a vid for sure i wanna see these things go. maybe ill stop in on my way home from work and visit a gun shop, theres one on the way home that may have a good variety of slugs :D
