Got the Taurus Judge (Pic Heavy)

Originally marketed as the 44-Ten, introduced in '05 they werent available until recently. As of 2006 Taurus changed the name to the Forty-five/410 and dropped the claim to also firing the 44-40 along with the 45Colt and 410. Finally in 2007 it became the Forty-five/410 Taurus Judge. I guess it took 3 years to figure out what the hell to call it. A retailer friend of mine in the US also has screw in chokes added to it which are great for hunting with the 410 , but alas in Canada the paper wont know the difference.

I heard through the grape vine they were going to make one in 12ga. They are just trying to get the cylinder dimensions right. Supposedly it will be chambered for 2 1/2 in shells.

At least you can get ammo for it at crappy tire. I want one next to compliment my snake slayer that i'm still friggin waiting on. Fire some .410 slugs. I'm curious about the recoil.

I have a bit of everything. I have 250gr 45 colt, #6 shot, #7.5 shot, 000 Buck Shot (3 pellets) and 1/2 Oz slugs (not sure what that works out to in grains). But the 250g 45 colt is MUCH larger physically than the slugs. Kinda makes shooting .410 slugs out of it useless in comparison. I think the most fun will be with the shot loads.

I was going to sell you my extra psp mags till you made that comment about .410 slugs being a useless comparison. I bet a 3" 1/4 ounce slug will produce good recoil out of a pistol.

I take it back - I take it back!! Sell me your PSP Mags!! PLEASE!!:D:D

Really what I meant was that from a practical use perspective it makes no sense to use a slug when you could use a 45 colt. Better energy, better accuracy and higher bullet weight trumps the slug...now the .410 shot shells are totally different in terms of their use...

Here's a vid of a guy shooting 45 colt cowboy rounds and 410 shot shells... The recoil is noticeably more pronounced with the shot shell...
