Just bought a gently used Ruger77/350RM from EE. It joins my 350WSM which began it's life as a 350RM also before its surgery to wildcat form.

I picked up a new 2x7x33 Redfield for this "new-to-me" rifle from Belleville CT (badboybesson). Seems to fit and work well - except I got a bit careless with it and it gave me a beauty mark on the forehead today - first one ever for me. This week I was just telling a fellow 35 Whelen shooter that had got a bump in the head that I had never done that. I guess I was too cocky. The first shot bumped my head (a little blood) but I managed to get all three at 100 into 1 1/2". I was using 250s chronographing at around 2540MV with ReL15. Those Redfields are nice scopes with decent eye relief but sure have old school hard eye pieces. Guess I can say now that its drawn first blood.:D

The bottom rifle here is the 350RemMag I just bought from a fellow CGNer and scoped with the 2x7 Redfield. The top is my older 350WSM and wearing a Leup 1x5x20. BTW my 350WSM did well today with ReL17 but I'll post about that in the Reloading section.

No feeding issues with this 350RM I hope?
Feeds slick but ONLY with three down and one in the chamber. There is room for the fourth in the mag but the bolt over rides the rim every time. So the answer is kind of yes and no. But I can live with it. Not as bad as my first one which was corrected when rechambered to 350WSM by a gifted gunsmith.

I can't think what "twins" you other guys might be thinking about.:D

350wsm sounds pretty kewl. How do you like it?
I do like it. It's very easy to load for and I imagine a very practical big game getter too - imagine since I've not drawn blood with it yet. It's almost like having a short action 358Norma. Necking up 300WSM brass or better yet 325WSM is easy peasy. More details on this rifle here - http://35cal.com/ruger77_350wsm.html
