Got to handle the steyr 9mm yesterday, questions:

[Wrong Way]

I like the gun, it's the only one besides the P-99 that fits my hands. The ione I handled had a nasty trigger pull though...are they ALL like that? Almost felt like a DA only-I'm guessing around 10lbs.

I like the gun, but that trigger is a deal killer if they are all like that.

Any insight?

it should only be 5.5lbs....

I remember when I tried the trigger (for the first time) In a gun store it kinda felt heavy and stiff too, so far I've shot ~600 rounds though my Steyr (different gun though) and now the trigger is great. I think it's new that all.

btw older models (not A1) have 7lb trigger.

It should not feel like 10lbs... they are comparable to the XD and Glock triggers.
Check out another one - Although new Steyr's are pretty tight out of the box.

it should be better than both; lighter than XDs and shorter than Glocks...

I think he's exaggerating a little, it probably was a little stiff out of the box

Trigger pull feels like 2.5-3.5lbs at max. Went ape#### on the one @ Phoenix today. Ate all the reloads that were stuffed into it. Not a single malf at all.
