Jesus... that is sweet!

I own the Sig P226 Classic .22 and like it because I bought the calibre conversion kit for it so I can switch i over to 9mm whenever I want...makes for nice training tool in the .22 mode and a cheap plinker and then for 3 gun I switch it over to 9mm and everything feels the same...and the 226 is a classic that will always be around so it will hold its value...when I bought it it was cheaper to buy as a .22 and buy the conversion kit than it was to buy the same as a regular 226 in 9mm...I think that has changed now tho and the deal is gone

i would have said a 22/45 but it left me high and dry last range trip with an insane amount of FTFs with "known good" brand of ammo.

Strange mine just hammers away with whatever I feed it but I only use copper plated high velocity rounds for all my .22s.

Did it happen with different mags?

You guys know that up to bringing this back in post #46 that this thread is over two years old? I suspect that the OP has gotten his new gun some time back.

For anyone reading in for the updates one revolver that I'd be willing to suggest is the new Pietta single action from Marstar. In either the LR/WMR 6 shot version or the LR only 10 shot these should be a nice gun. I know that the Piettas I use for cowboy action are holding up extremely nicely. So a rimfire version will last for two or three lifetimes.

I am now also considering a Advantage Arms .22 LR Conversion Kit my Glock 17. I am a really piss poor shot with it. $425 for part of a gun is a lot though. A bit more and I could get a double action .22.

I've seen them for sale for 350$ new.

I like mine a lot. It ads a lot of versatility to the Glock pistol. Had to find an ammo brand it liked, that wasn't too hard to do.

Old thread or not... some things have not changed...

Ruger MKIII
Ruger Single Six
Browning Buckmark

I can shoot the auto's much better than the wheelguns .The last couple of years my go to auto has been a Kimber 22 conversion on a S&W 1911 frame , it shoot's nearly as well as my Smith 41. But I have the most fun when shooting my Smith 17 or an old Colt officers model match.

Must have?

SW model 46
Colt match target
Ruger MK3 Competition with VQ trigger/sear and SL bushing.
High Standard Sport King

FWIW, I have owned Sig Mosquitos and they are problematic AT BEST. Feed them steady CCI MiniMag RNs and they are better, but I still could not recommend one.

Had a Argentina TALA .22 very accurate and also single six Texas Scout that was a lot of fun. Depends if you want to shoot targets or fun?
