Never put it on a gun - might try it if I was storing for an extended period without use.

I have used Eagle One Nanowax on all of my firearms and can handle them without leaving a mess of fingerprints, any type of metal, plastic, paint and even my fiberglass boat. It helps hide scratches as well and gives some protection from getting a few more. It was purchased at CTC.
