Gouge in barrel land in t97

Wow?Getting back on track.It seems there are about 6-7 confirmed T97s with the barrel gouge.About 4 people have stated theres are ok.Anybody else?Dave

Took a look at mine. The barrel looks good. I don't see any issues. By the way having taken this rifle apart a few times now I like the internal design of it. It still has that combloc feel to it but it's simple and fairly clever. Also the fit/finish on mine isn't the Chinese crud stereotype. I'm happy with mine. Now if only they could have put as much effort into the ergos!!

I feel the same way.

The ones without the gouge prob aint looking down the hole the right way.

Again, there is no nick in mine and yes I do know what I'm looking at.

but.. but.. theres already a hole on the side for the gas, so you would think one on the other side would just even it out.... tell me again how this will affect accuracy?
