I hope they actually intend on considering your opinion, versus just disregarding it. Either way, I'm confident you guys will represent us well.
 
The fact they picked you, they might actually be serious about hearing a real opinion. They could of picked some dirty traitor of a gun store owner who voiced support for c71.
 
I hope and pray that you are met with reasonable, open and logical minds; and that emotion and political driven agendas might be tempered with truth, fact and logic!
 
Good Luck Mr Wolverine....thanks for doing this. Does anyone know who else has received an invitation? I wonder if it's balanced at all or mostly gun grabbers?

To get up this morning and see 14 pages of supporting comments is a bit overwhelming. Thank you all, nothing like putting some pressure on a fellow :)

The meeting is at the Sheraton Toronto Centre from 1:30 to 4:00 pm Friday 26nd Oct and is by invitation only. We have been told that space is limited and only one representative from each organization can attend. When we made our presentation to the Standing Committee on Bill C71 I had my son, Matt beside me, we make a great team and Matt's 17 years as a front line RCMP Officer add a very interesting perspective to our presentation. Matt is away on business so I am having take care of this one myself. I have no idea how many or who else will be attending. Nor do I know if these meetings are open to the public and press.

I spent all of yesterday preparing a written submission on the themes reflected in the Discussion Paper, I had Matt's valuable input on this last night, I will finish this of today and this will be e-mailed to them on Monday.

Some of you may not know that "technically" I am retired, my son Matt and his wife Genn now takes care of the day to day running of Wolverine Supplies, this has allowed me to work on special projects, notably the WK180-C and Government meetings, it is an easy choice which I prefer. :)

That's my worry as well, they will have him there and say they "consulted" and do whatever they were going to do, anyways.

i hope it gets local and or national tv spot on next fridays 6:00 pm news so people will see the backing of the firearms community against the ban
 
NEVER trust the government or a cop.

Good luck and thanks for your efforts. But if they get real stupid with this gun ban stuff... well, we own them for a reason.
