Bought the Wilson's Combat Spring Pack for my GP100

Paid $9.99 for the springs, and the order said shipping: $0.00

I thought, "Sweet! Free shipping, makes sense it'll fit in an envelop"

Then, hours later I get a confirmation email stating my order had been shipped and credit card processed.

Product Total: $9.99
Tax (IA and IN only): $0.00
Shipping Restriction Charges: $0.00
INTFC : $10.55
COD Charge: $0.00
NRA Add-A-Buck: $0.00
Order Total: $20.54

I paid MORE for shipping than I did my actual product!

The spring pack weighs next to nothing and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

Package arrives:

Have they got monkeys running the shipping department??

Anyway,

For those of you who've installed these springs, what was the lightest you went and still got 100% ignition on all your rounds??

I'm thinking I'll install the 10lb Trigger Return and the 10lb hammer spring...

Any advice?

Thats the cheapest shipping option you will get from brownells. It used to be $5.75 but USPS just raised their prices. Be happy they didn't send it ups or fedex. You would be paying more.

I would like to hear your results on the springs though, I am going to change mine up and haven't decided which yet.

I have the Wilson spring kit in my GP100 and I use the second lightest spring, it's an 11# I think. I tried the lightest one but had about 1 in 6 misfire so I took it out right away. I'm very pleased with the improvement and would do it again if I had to.

:agree: That's their standard shipping box from Brownell's and yes, it looks like overkill for shipping a spring. I wonder why they don't just use a bubble pak envelope.

I tried the lightest and settled on the 10# spring. I too had light strikes using the 8# spring. I have cinsidered bobing my hammer and going wiith the lightest spring. Not sure I want to go that far.

Take Care

Bob

I tried the lightest hammer spring and it felt like a cap gun. Changed it to the second lightest hammer spring and it feels perfect. For the trigger spring, i used the lightest.

I then took the hint and clipped 2 coils on the Security Six hammer spring and it now feels much better - at no cost.

thanks, CGN.
