GPR,flint,from Track/Wolf has arrived

I ordered a great plains flintlock from Track of the Wolf on June 7.
It arrived June 29,with gst and pst owing but no duty.
I was a little hesitant to mail order a "gun" from the states, but it all went flawlessly.It arrived in great shape (opened at customs) and I dont think I could have gotten a better piece of wood for the stock if I picked it out of a rack of a dozen rifles.
If your sitting on the fence about ordering from track,like I was,I say go for it.
Cant wait to shoot it.

Did you pay for an upgrade of the wood?

No,no upgrade on the wood.
I handled two lyman rifles prievious to buying this one,and they were of the same quality.I think this is just what you get.
It was also set up ready to clean then shoot.Flint was installed and sparks well,and the triggers are set just fine in my opinion.
Im very happy with the whole deal.

I buy lots of stuff from Track the wolf never had a custom issue even with the dreaded 50 caliber cartridge cases

Ages ago , around 1985 I bought a Lyman GP from Lovett's , it had a gorgeous European Walnut stock, dark with black streaks in it. All the GP's have nice wood but some are downright stunning.

I see www.lebaron.ca sells the Lyman GP .50 cal flinter for $480.00 .

Track of the Wolf

Great to hear that your stuff arrived safe and sound. On a slightly different note, have any of you guys ordered from Dixie Gun works? .... I am looking for some parts for a Walker BP revolver. I am hoping Border Services chills on my envelope of springs and screws.
