Does anyone have any recos for a GPS map to put on my Garmin handheld for hunting north of Thunder Bay? Considering the Backroad Mapbook Ontario. Seems to have good coverage of logging roads, resolution, etc., but open to suggestions.
Cheers!

Backroads are great

Backroads are the best I have found. I love them, well worth the money. I got the SD card version so I can use it in both my Nuvi and Etrex. The Nuvi has a few additional options (Point of Interest info) and looks great on the large screen. Works great on the Etrex as well.
If you get the dvd version you can only use it on one device, you can switch the SD card between units. Buying the sd version you also get to download a Mapsource version to view on your computer so the SD is the way too go I think.

I work in the logging industry north of Thunder Bay. The Mill provides me with an sd card for my garmin 76--it has all the harvest block numbers as well as all logging roads. I don't use it--except to check block #'s--I use the backroads mapbook Ontario sd card--it works better in that it has more info like road and lake names and elevation and such. The program cost me $125 from KBM and its worth every penny of it.
