Hello,
Looking for a little help. I have a pistol that my grandpa carred over on the boat when he came to Canada in the 1920's. He got the gun from his dad.
I'm trying to get some info on it, may-be someone might know how to get that.
Here are the markings on the gun:

Gun - Bernedo 2151 Pistolet Automatique Pat# 69952
Shells- V.Browning Belgium cal.635

There are a number of other markings on the gun as well.
Any help would be great
Thanks
Dave

I photographed this from a 2004 Standard Catalog of Firearms - a collectors reference guide. You may have to search the internet for more info. Possibly using the name at the bottom corner of the photo...

Yes, that's looks like the gun!! I'm not sure what the markings mean. Someone said this gun might be illegal? My grandfather died 25 years ago and my grandmother is 97. The family doesn't know what to do with the gun!
Can I legally own this gun if it was willed to me?
What would this gun be worth, any idea?

The gun is prohibited. Because it was made before 1946 you can inherit it under clause 12(7) of the Firearms Act. You must first have a PAL for the restricted class. If you have that then you should have no problem.

As far as what it is worth. If it were in good condition maybe $50. If someone really had an interest in it then maybe $100 but it is not all that desirable. I have bought a number of more desirable 25 caliber guns like this for less than that. For example I bought the following Colt for under $50.
