A Canadian won the ALL AROUND CHAMPIONSHIP for 2008 >Pat Lamont 23 of Brandon won one of the top prizes.Check it out on the Grand website results

Patrick Lamont was 300x300 going into the Doubles Championship. He dropped one to finish 399x400 for a lead of two targets over David Kelly of California and Tank Lunsford from Indiana. His lone 100 in the GAH also garnered him top honors.

Even more impressive was the shooting display put on by Foster Bartholow and Leo Harrison III for the CTC singles. 59 shooters posted a double century to start the tiebreakers, and after 900 extras the pair were still knotted at 1100x1100. Lamont was also involved in this marathon, but was knocked out after dropping his last target in the 22nd round for third place.

They agreed to share the 08 Clay Target Champion title.

I can't even begin to fathom the mental game that these two would have had to put together to stay in for 1100 straight.

Edited to add: Bartholow was 1923x1925 on combined singles targets, both event and shoot off, for the week for a 99.89 average and Tim Reed was 999x1000 on the program targets alone. Not too shabby.

I don't really know Pat but his dad Rob is also a pretty decent shot as well. Rob was inducted into the Manitoba Trap Shooting Hall of Fame in 2006.

Many know Rob as the previous owner of Jo-Brook firearms in Brandon. It is in the process of changing hands but I know it will continue to provide the great customer service it has in the past.

Here is also a link as to how he did at the 2008 Canadians

Leo Harrison III has won more events in more States and especially the ATA Grand than I have time left to shoot. He may not be a "Frank Little or Kay
Ohay" but his list of accomplishments is amazing. Nice to see a Canadian win though.

Pat Lamont is a really nice young man and a hell of a shot. I spent a lot of time shooting with him and Rob over the years. I was really happy when I heard how well he's done.
