I saw one for sale locally in EX+ condition for $400, really it appeared brand new, and i thought it seemed like a decent well built gun for a low price......

That sounds like a VG deal...the designer himself is often on CGN answering questions...I haven't shot one myself so I'll leave it to others to comment in detail.
 
It is a very good price, buy one and you won't regret. This is an accurate, ergonomically well designed and reliable pistol. It will shoot any kind of 9mm factory ammo+ I tried different reloads all worked well.
 
I placed an order with Marstar 5 months ago, still waiting. Apparently we are now waiting for Slovakian export permits.

I've shot a K100 three times; I liked it, it reminds me of a CZ-75/85 style gun in general shape/size. Very short trigger reset (VERY short - one of the reasons I really like it), feels well in my hand. Lots of options (sights, mag releases, etc). I'm starting to lose patience re my order but hey, what can you do...
 
If I am not mistaken, this is the same Model of pistol a shooter (Mark-chewbaca?) from NS bought from Marstar. After 400rds, the extractor broke. I think it was replaced in a timely manner.
 
Maurice, you're right. IIRC, It broke, then his replacement didn't work so well, then the gun's designer/manufacturer (member here) became aware of the problem and sent him the new part which was of an upgraded design.
 
good to know. I wonder what the upgrade was? Different hardness to the extractor?
Not a bad price for that gun.
 
I'll have the TT model at some point.... :D

The MK6 is available as a simple frame change of the current K100. Another version of the new version(ha imagine that...two versions of the Mk6 version...hmm) will be a proprietary frame using Grand Power's own designed 9mm mags where the mag well can accomodate mags for 45acp. Apparently, this even newer Mk6 can be interchangeable for 45acp and 9mm para(with I assume slide/barrel change).

The simple change over MK6 as a simple frame change and same magazine and slide version is already available. Currently in Germany is sells for about 60€ more...but then again, the K100(in various versions) also sells for quite a bit more in Germany anyway

Shooters from K 100 dynamic team take a 1. and 3.place. I´m also IROA range officer and I can tell you that K 100 starting be very popular gun inter IPSC shooters.
