Has the GP mag drought ended or eased at all? I have a K100 that I think of selling from time to time but without access to spare mags etc it's a less desirable gun. I know Trigger Wholesale took over the line last year and were supposed to have a mag/spare parts shipment coming but I've never seen anything show up. Their website still doesn't even list GP mags after 8+ months.

GP does not care about our little market, there is zero for parts and mags.
I bet they are already threatening Trigger to find a new distributor because they are not selling enough guns for them....that seems to be all they care about.

Yep, It's beginning to seem more and more like a Grand Power issue rather than a distributor issue. Either that or Grand Power is really. reeeeally bad at choosing distributors.

Try bullseye in London ON. Picked up 3 9mm mags there.

I hope Grand Power support their products because they are very good. I have one and like it a lot - quite comparable to CZ.

I agree they make a good product but I think they really fumbled their introduction to the North American market. I hope they can recover but I'm not sure that ship has sailed in the last 8 months.

I had 4 mags that i got from Dlask but when I couldn't sell the gun with the 4 mags I sold 2 off separately. i think about blowing the gun out from time to time but it is my only polymer gun and I figure I should have at least one token plastic fantastic. ;)

Slight derail here. I have both an early target K100 and a X-caliber. The mags that came with the K100 are a joy to use. The ones with the x-caliber are so stiff to load the 10th round that I usually just load 5 in two mags. I would buy some more mags, but am afraid I would get the stiff ones. Also thinking about dis-assembling one and trying to shorten the spring. Buddy has a Beretta and there is NFW to load the mag without a loading tool. Why the !@#$ do they make the springs so stiff? If a gun won't feed without a mag you can load easily with your fingers, they should re-design the gun. Yes, I know I can use the older mags in the X-Caliber

Actually Mike, the primary reason I'm up Trigger Wholesales ass is parts and accessories.

Parts and accessories should be part of the contract agreement and attached to the number of units that come into the country.
An "armory" package should be mandatory for the distributor to have in stock and be included with the first shipment of pistols.

I have found the same problem, my Dlask era mags are great but my new ones cause trouble. Examine your mag bodies, I am fairly certain they changed the location of the dimples that limit capacity. Shortening your springs will not help the problem you'll have to trim the follower (carefully!). I am still experimenting with mine to get the mags to seat well with 10 rounds without the follower jamming in the body.

I got some magazines through NAS Guns & Ammo a couple weeks back, they're a site sponsor. Emailed Trigger Wholesale on where to find some mags and they pointed me that way.

So, spare mag problem was solved for me at least. Only issue is that these ones don't drop free - The two I got with my K100 drop free with no issues. The 3x grand power mags I recently bought and the 1x STI GP6 mag I bought a while back all get stuck. Feed fine though.

Edit: That being said, it would be handy to have a reliable source for new springs and such. I've only put about 2-3k through my K100 at this point, but I'll need to start worrying about replacing the recoil spring once I hit 5k I imagine.

Popeye, do they have the corner notches as well as the one on the front?

Popeye_000, do you mean the mag doesn't drop free when the mag release button is pushed? Or the mag release button is difficult to push in. You may want to check the retaining notch that's on the center of the front side of the mag. I've had a couple of mags that had a bit of a burr on the top edge of the notch. That made the mag release button really stiff to push in - especially when the mag was fully loaded (was doing mag change drills with the mags loaded with dummy rounds for weight). A light pass with a needle file to break that edge was all it took to fix.

If the mag does not drop free, have you checked and measured the mag bodies to compare against the K100 mags that do drop free? I've got mags that came with my K100, mags that came with my X-Caliburs, extra mags I bought from Dlask, and GP-6 mags I bought from Freedom Ventures. Have no problems using them and swapping them between my K100 and X-Caliburs.

Been chasing TWI for parts for a couple of months too, and got this reply last week:

"Thanks for the message. The key people from Grand Power ‎just returned to work on Monday of this week and we are working on getting our next order in which will include parts. Although this has taken a long time, the reality is that the market has slowed considerably and we are being careful about what we bring in while the market and the economy are volatile. That said, parts are important and we will make sure that we bring them in this month with our order. "

I may be in Wroclaw Poland next August. If I go, I was going to drive down and try and get a tour of their plant, and maybe stock up on spares parts if it's still a problem. Maybe I should get a group buy on spare parts going and/or set myself up as the West Coast parts distributor lol :p
