Grand Power pricing drop!

great, just what I needed to see.... now Im going to end up buying the K100 and the MP9 :( (I had finally talked myself out of buying both on the same day)

When you get them both, how about doing a comparison including range test. the only thing I don't like about my K100 is the weak safety detent. Too easy to brush on/off, but I don't want to eliminate the safety, just stiffen it.

bushwacker, I've shot both, and shot different K100 mk6's (not sure if its any different in feel from the non mk6) at TSE here in Calgary a few times. At least with the 'demo' models they let me fire, I didnt notice any issues with the safety. I did notice the two tone one the sights were off, it always shot down and left, where the black demo they had, I was always on target...

if canada post agrees with me (my license showing up) then I'll be swinging by to get them this week.... I want to get the S&W before their free magazine offer runs out April 1. Im sure my license will show, and I'll head to TSE to find they are out of stock on both the K100 mk6 fibre, and the MP9.... things tend to work out that way for me :)

As mine were missing/broken, I've just had Casey work on it. Since he had to make a new plunger, he made two. He's made them very slightly longer so they should be more positive.

I just got back from purchasing the K100 and Mp9... however I didnt get the new price on the K100, which I didnt notice until I got home. Anyway, I've left a message on the TSE voicemail, since $50 can buy 200 rounds of ammo.

//waits

You might have gotten the one with fiber optic sights, which cost $50 more.

The only real problem I've had with my K100 is the mag bases. The material their made out of is suspectable to breaking when dropped on hard surfaces (duh! :rolleyes: ). I was able to get some rubber backed base pads for a CZ and with a bit of tweaking, they work fine.

Oh, also don't over lube it. It's not a 1911. It doesn't need a liter of oil every 500 rounds :p :D . In fact, a little dab of grease on the rails is good. Keep the extractor area clean and oil free.

It's a great pistol. I use mine for IPSC and love it.

I'm 26 and I have no idea what it means, even tried to google it. :confused: (yea I know I'm a losser)

I've heard it before but can't remember where...... But I do know where the links are located if that counts......lol

Haha. All depends on what you watched as a youngster, I guess. It's from The Friendly Giant, a children's TV show.

not that I'll turn this into a review thread.... but I picked up the K100 and MP9 this afternoon, after I got my short term ATT and transfers completed.....

so far without having the chance to fire both at the range, and only work the actions and put some snapcaps through them, I like the feel of the K100 a lot better. Its magazines also load a lot easier than the MP9s (maybe there is some kind of trick for the mp9 I have to figure out... but its really annoying to load right now)

Field stripping the MP9 is better, other than I cant get the damn field stripping tool out of its slot, so I had to use a small allen key. K100 stripped well, but I have a feeling Im going to break the trigger guard one of these days, popping it into the field strip position.

Didnt think the Fibre sight on the K100 would make as big of a difference as it does. Makes that front sight really pop out at you.

anyway, I'll save it all for a later post when I can do a full write up of both.
