I'm surprised this thread sort of died off. I have the Q100 in 9mm and am liking it more all the time.

Yeah I like my K100, just need to find better sights.
Dave Copping at Rouge River Arms put a fibre optic front and dynamic rear sight on my k100. Huge difference over the factory sights.

I asked FOC, nope they don't have the right ones. SFRC never got back to me. I mainly only wanted the front sight.
Didn't Beretta already do this? The rotating I mean.

The K100 was released before the Px4. However, I think the Steyr-Hahn is a rotating bbl as well which pre-dates both by quite a while.

Didn't realize the Cougar was a rotating bolt.
As a side note, I had a K100 back in 2006 and I kind of regret selling it after browsing through this thread. Maybe I'll have to pick up another.

Try Rouge River. Dave is Grand Power's guy in Canada. Have had great service from him.

I've owned a couple of GP's in the past but they just don't do anything exceptionally well. GP may have found more traction if their products were competitively priced. Not many will choose the GP offerings over similarly priced firearms (Shadow 2>X-Calibur or M&P>Q-100 etc.).

Very true. The owner of Grand Power spend his summers as a child taking his grandfather's Steyr apart, trying to find the magic inside and imagining how he would build his own. The roller bearing in the frame making contact with a wide cam path on the barrel is an elegant approach. The others use a lug on the barrel riding in a slot on the frame for rotation that requires more slop for reliability.

Had my Q100 out today and had a great time doing so, shot so well, the gun did

Had the Q100 out once more and it shot better that my G19.
