Water pistol
Pocket pistol
Baby pistol

Both sides (Pocket and baby for scale)- and last with my Ranger n0.2 for some class.

Luftwaffe belt buckles were popular when I was in high-school.... if you could get your hands on one. The flying eagle was just pretty enough that you parents wouldn't beat the crap outta you for wearing one..... and it didn't rust the way that Wehrmacht one did.

Of course, if you were actually to wear one today, you'd have somebody jumping up and accusing you of every kind of perfidy in the book. These politically-correct microintellects seem to have no sense of humour at all, being able to produce a wagging finger or a strident voice at a moment's notice.... and managing to forget that it has always been a Man's right to wear items of equipment taken from The Enemy, and it has always been a Son's right to do likewise and think of his Father as a Mighty Warrior.

That brings to mind the ancient question, "What did you do in the War, Daddy?" The replies, "I did my job." or "I did what I had to..." are so very short but they communicate so very much.

Certainly, they are a lot better than, "I gave aid and comfort to the Enemy by participating in street demonstrations of solidarity with the downtrodden Workers our fascist Government was oppressing...." or "I wagged my finger stridently at anyone who supported the War Effort and made lists of the people who made politically-incorrect remarks or who knew the wrong people, so we would know who to harass for the next 40 years or so!" That's as bad as the people who can summon up a mighty indignation with which to deplore anyone who will admit to having a co-worker (47 years ago) who wore the 'wrong' colour of uniform.

But that all is by the boards. Yes, LW buckles were popular as souvenirs, some got worn for years after the War was over..... but only in FREE countries, mind you.
Remember always, it was guys such as THESE who KEPT this country free for so many years. If that Freedom is slipping away now..... it isn't THEIR fault.

Perhaps it's time for a new generation to put down their I-pods and I-books and personal DVD players and take a hand in the struggle. Freedom is only lost when it is taken for granted, for that is when it is no longer appreciated and valued for what it is.

And I STILL think the pistol in that picture is a shorty version of the Water Pistol...... which would make sense along with the LW buckle: LW did have some of them.
.

Astra 600 does not have enough "junk" ahead of the trigger guard to be the gun in the pic. Also it seems it has 2 distinct decreases in the outer barrel diameter. Also looks like the top of the pistol is too rounded to be a p-38. Still think its french.

Also, he's wearing a Luftwaffe belt buckle...
I agree the belt is a "pick up". Neither he or his buddies are seen wearing anything similar in all the other photo's I have. Seem's there was a great deal of stuff lying around as I have photo's with a Thompson and a browning 30 cal as well.

How much for the Indian sign Jan?

Some things are simply "not for sale".

I am not a person who figures that money could possibly be worth the item.
(money is just paper.)
jan.

But if you had a 1926 to 1931 sport scout frame, that would be another matter. We could talk.
