Grande prairie shooting range

How was the rides?

On the way out the first time I towed a 30 fifth wheel trailer out. Back to Ontario and out here again I towed a 33' fifth wheel trailer and a 6x10 enclosed utility trailer. Going through the States cuts down time. But don't like firearms or ammo. Driving on the Canadian side adds 2 days driving through Ontario alone.

In the smaller towns, gas stations can close earlier than you think. Don't bury your spare tire. Relocate it if need be. Have some food and drink incase you get caught in the weather that you could run into.

Have a safe trip.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but can a guy still go shooting down the Canfor road at the old gravel pit at km 5? On the right if your heading in off of the 40?

If it's the pit I'm thinking of, I think it depends when you go. I went there on the weekends and a few other people were shooting alongside me. Went there during the week and a "representative" told me I was trespassing.

I might hit up the range behind Ainsworth OSB plant tomorrow with my new BAT shotgun.. haven't been back there since the snow started so I'm not sure how bad the trail is.

Well I just re upped at the club so my transfer of a Ruger Redhawk will go through.

November 27th there is a Range Officer course going on at the club. It does come with certain perks.

But also some commitment.

You can call the club to inquire. Its my wife's birthday that day so I won't go. But will try and make other arrangements.

There are spots all over the Peace Country that are good coyote hunting. The further you get away from GP, the better it is. I frequent an area from Peoria to Tangent/Falher. Most landowners have no issues with coyote hunting, provided that you ask first. Calling is good right now.
