Grandfather's Winchester 30-30

See one of the other posts re. Winchester 94, 30-30 rifles.

There were over 7,000,000 of them made so unless they have some special factory feature for the most part your average example is not worth a heckuva lot of money.

In my opinion, even a 1950s model in "Fair" condition wouldn't be worth more than $350.

But what do I know? I have three; a 1927, a 1955 and a mid-70s but I've never paid a nickel for one yet, they were donations.
I will give you $400 for the 55, just because it's my birth year, missed out on a couple on the EE! They appear once in a while and like you say, $350 for fair and up to $600 for ones in very good shape but used of course!

Thanks guys. It was my grandfather's gun (a '51) which ended up being "gifted" (long after he died) to an outside party.

Please don't be held for ransom.
Find a trusted soul in yer life and get them to buy it secretly for you.
Tell the seller to gft...................
Walk away from it and do as mentioned above.

I use the EE to gauge average market price.
So with that in mind I would say anywhere from $400 to $2K....
In all seriousness though it sounds like it would be around the $350 to $450 mark depending on how accurate a description "fair" is.
If it's in rough condition I wouldn't pay more than $350 for it now matter what year it was made but I'm one of those odd ducks that thinks that a rifle of which over 7 million+ were made in North America isn't worth all that much :D
