Grease or oil on slides?

Well just like the title says. What do some of you folks that have a fair bit of shooting experence prefer? I have read and seen some videos of people using grease and oil on there slides for lubrication(not both at once)

Grease is too "gooey" for me. But I heard a fellow from the land of the free say he prefers grease because he carries and says it's less likely to get on his clothes.

I agree with the carry and greese go together. Wilson has white greese too.

For shooting sports - oil. On very hot days being shooting outside, GunSlick also works well.

One has to also consider if the gun they use is finely tuned or just stock, as in tuned guns even slight extra resistance in slide cycling may cause higher chance of mulfunction.

I liked in on my Standard gun...but I found on my Open gun it slowed the slide down too much (and I was using the SG Lite)

I tried Gun Butter...and I really like it. I still get the slide action of oil...and it stays put a bit longer (not like Slide Glide...that stuff was crazy)
 
I shoot 1911/1911A1 pistols..maybe 200 rds a week. Grease gets too dirty-pasty. It may sound weird but, "RUSTCHECK" works for me. Just give a couple of squirts into the channel areas..it seeps into where it's needed.

I have heard via Dan wesson forum that FP 10 is about the best thing but have not found any yet. This is for tight slide frame fits.
