There have been a few folks that have complained about the soft, heavy lube on some of the bulk boxed Blazer ammo. I have been using the 500 count (50 round boxes)bulk Blazer and bought a 525 bulk box (loose). Also all CCI production. Yup, covered with a waxy lube. Just like match ammo. Darn near shoots like match ammo too. Leaves a perfect lube star just like match ammo too. Anyone else found that this greasy bulk Blazer shoots better than the boxed shiny stuff? It's not a heck of a lot better than the shiny stuff, but every little bit helps! In my 513 Matchmaster, there isn't enough difference to worry about between base grade match ammo and Blazer at 25 meters.

Get out your bolt guns and start picking off those empty 22 cases at 25 meters!

I cursed that goopy stuff because the cases would stick in the chamber of one of my .22's. I actually went through two boxes of it and wiped the wax off the brass one at a time.........All 1050 rounds. I left the wax on the bullets. By the time I had used up about half of it I had come to discover that it actually did group tighter than most of the other boxed shiny stuff. I even traded a handful to another member at the range that was sighting in a new rifle and his groups instantly tightened up. Now I wish I could find more.....

The waxy dark blazers are the best ammunition I ever shot for the price. Literally never got a jam in any of my semi-autos and it shoots more accurate than I am. I pick them up locally for about 26$ for 525.

On the other hand, the tin-colored blazers were the worst rounds I ever used in my life. In my SR22, I got a constant 10-15 jams per 25 round magazine.

I 2nd that...that "new" 525 bulk is very WAXY and shoots awesome out of my XT22r and will see how it shoots out of my new FV-SR

I haven't used Blazer yet, but my Savage loves the CCI Mini Mag HP, however the bulk (375 I think)"Choot Em" Mini Mag is very waxy, and I find i have to run a bore snake down the barrel after 15-20 rounds because it really is that filthy. I'll just stick to my small 100rnd cases

I have yet to test it for accuracy against the other stuff I have mainly used it for plinking.. It would not even load into a autoloader because of the wax and sticking.

Some of the greasiest black slimy .22 I have shot is Russian "Junior". Terrible packing and appearance and some of the most accurate ammo I have ever used in my better .22's. I bought a wooden case of this years ago and I still have some left for special projects. Phil.

I haven't had much experience with the bulk box blazer but use the 500 brick in 50rd boxes with no problem. Mainly in my vtr for some fun at the range. Never had any problems. Not sure of grouping size but I can run the gongs with out fail from 25-50 yards. Always lookin for more. Can't beat the price. But Unfortuneitly (or fortuneitly) a brick has never made it back front the range in part or full...

bought a brick of that and it would not extract from any of my guns. certainly came in an interesting package.

You think Blazer is accurate? Try CCI Standard Velocity ammo, it's even better, but it costs a hair more. I believe it's $32.99 a brick, which is nothing if you're using a Savage Mk. II, that will last a while.

For 10/22's there's nothing like Blazer, the stuff just works. My 10/22 has about 7k rounds of Blazer through it and it has never jammed. Only a couple FTF's, but maybe that's because I never cleaned it
