Great guys at the shop!

From my very first interest in shooting I went into Wanstalls and talked to Craig (Jones to be specific.) He let me handle a number of rifles and talked about what would be a good caliber to step into.

After booking my PAL class through them and receiving my PAL, I have purchased every rifle and round of ammunition from them. Every employee is super friendly and knowledgeable, and I have found myself in there for over an hour just listening to the guys talk about different rifles and handguns.

On one occasion I bought a cheap .22 rifle on consignment and had problems with it. Thinking it was a used gun I gave up on it ever working properly and on my next trip in I griped to Craig Jones about it and he felt terrible for steering me wrong. He took the rifle back and gave me a credit on another consignment .22 one. These guys stand behind there service and their products, even the 50 year old used rifles ha ha

So thanks to everyone at Wanstalls, especially the 2 Craigs for being great ambassadors to the shooting and hunting world, and for being great examples of what a local business owners really should be.

Screw that!
They are the !
Every time I vist that store I come home broke. From my old lady's pink 597 to my recent purchase of my TC Venture Preditor. They treat me so nice I keep on coming back for more finacal ruin.
I defenatly wouldn't recomend going to them if you don't want exceptional service or a very polite and helpful staff.

I would like to start out by saying Thank you. Its nice to be recognized for what we strive for everyday, providing the best customer service in the industry.

We try to allow our customers the ability to shop confidently with our support right from the moment they walk through our door. Its good to know that our efforts haven't gone unnoticed and we look forward to seeing you in our shop again.

Thank you.

+ 1

Was in today for the first time and bought a TC Icon. Great staff, definitely worth the drive.

I don't think they will. Wholesale may have the prices, but they don't have the personality and wicked group of people, and that alone will keep people coming back for more!

They sell a lot of 'same old same old' as well, whereas these guys seem to listen a little more and bring in what customers want.

I travel allot around the Lower Mainland for work and often stop by the local gun store when I am in the area. Most of the stores are pretty friendly but Wanstalls is my favourite. I have bought several firearms there and the service is top notch.

My least favourite for customer service is Lever Arms.

Wanstalls is a great place to visit and shop, plus it helps when both Craigs are awesome to deal with. They take their time to get to know their customers and answering all your questions. It shows that they love what they do. Thats why I don't mind the driving out from Vancouver. :)

Blueskies, I too believe Lever Arms has the worst customer service. I was just there yesterday (Wanstalls closed on Monday). Stopping by to check out a Norc M308. It took 15 mintute for them to acknowledge me. When they did come around, they made me feel like I was wasting their time and answered my question begrudgingly. By this time, I was not feeling welcome at all. But before I left, I ask them if they carried any surplus ammo boxes. They said "no" but check Gorillas surplus. I then asked if they would have a clue how much the box would cost? Right then the manager walks up to me and said, "Why don't you go there and find out for yourself!" and stares me down. So I just walked out. I have never felt so humiliated in my life.

Thanks Craig J and Craig W for being stand up guys and treating your customers with respect.

Last time I was at Wanstalls, Gary let me fondle some of the new Night hawk custom guns he got in. He knew they were out my price range but he handed them over to my to drool at anyway....great guys I did walk out with a crate of surplus 7.62x39

One of the best stores in Canada. Where do we vote for them.
If you have not been there go there today.
Keep the good work.

I've had to promise myself that I won't go in there ever again. Every second time I do I end up buying another gun. The last time it was TWO guns! And it's not like they talk me out of it with surly attitudes or the usual "couldn't care less" attitude shown by other shops that prevent me from dipping into my bank account. Darn them... DARN THEM TO PERDITION!... :D

I've seen the gals and guys behind the counter juggle two customers per worker and make every one happy as a clam. They know their stuff and it shows. Great folks to deal with. And accomadating. When I wanted to buy a cowboy action lever rifle we had the transfer in the system and then it occured to me that the 16 inch model just may not actually hold a whole 10 rounds of .38Spl. Craig took it away to check and came back with the answer, nine and a half. He ordered up the one I needed and took care of the return and transfer cancellation with a smile and an apology for not checking first.

Yeah, I'm weak. I'l be back soon enough and likely come away with yet another gun from them.... :D

I recently bought a Ruger African from Gary through the website. Gun was new in box, but missing scope rings. Gary was quick to remedy this for me. I will definitely be giving him more business. Communications were excellent. Thanks Gary.

I've bought a few firearms from Wanstalls and they are always my go-to store. Always top notch service and knowledge. Keep up the good work guys! And thanks for jumping on board with all the new Kal-Tec stuff.

I was in there the other day planning out my spending when I get my RPAL back.

I spent ages in there and talked a lot about various handguns, looked at some nice .22s and drooled all over the counter. A great experience and I will be going back there with a burning hot credit card as soon as I get my card in the mail. I look forward to giving you guys all of my money.
