Tonight I had the pleasure of learning a few new procedures and tricks to building up the Garand rifle. I was under the guidance of our resident Tactical Teacher and barreled up and finish reamed 2 builds in progress. We also checked out 2 finished builds of mine to ensure that I had not assembled a couple of pipe bombs. All in all it was a great lesson learned and would recommend his one on one teachings to anyone. Thanks again Barney!

These are my first two builds. The one in the back is 30.06 and the one up front is a Italian modified .308. Barrel, op rod and spring, stock and rear handguard are all factory shortened by 1/2". No range results yet but the backyard test has them doing the ping thing with no problems.

They do look great indeed! I recently decided to go throu my springfield to see if all parts were correct and nope it was a rebuild from the 50s so now the fun part of hunting down parts has begun! When all is correct i will post a pic up on the main battle rifles pic thread.
