I might have believed you if you just posted the groups but Chetwynd and no bugs? Come on :p
All kidding aside, that's great shooting and obviously a great rifle. Care to share some specs?

Measure from the outside of one hole to the inside of the other and you will have the measurement center to center. Nice groups by the way.

Re: Supernova..40gns of IMR4064 ,50gn. Hornady V-max Moly. RP brass ,Fed 210 primer ( I didn't have any BR's )
Re: Armored metal..Check my specks..I measure outside then deduct bullet diameter..just my way.

Or just measure outside to outside and subtract bullet diameter. Most accurate way I have found that works for me, but since I don't compete with anyone but myself, I guess it really doesn't matter lol.

This is the gun. Old Savage 110 (circa 1962 ), Restored FAJEN Tiger Stripe Maple thumbhole stock ,27" fluted Stainless bbl by Bevin King Tasco 8-32 AO scope, & a Sharp Shooters trigger @ 14 oz.

Just wondering what reloading book you are you using? My book lists 38.4 grns as the max load. Just wondering if its safe to go to 40 grns

I had no pressure signs. I just checked 4 manuals , this is listed as MAX load in "Nick Harvey's Practical Reloading ".
As with ANY load data , Start low & work up paying close attention to pressure signs. ALSO , what works & is SAFE in one gun , maynot be in another !

Can someone tell me what this group would measure? It's the best group I've shot out of my Tikka in 22-250.

I was playing with COAL so I only made three rounds. 40gr Vmax over 38grs of Varget.

The one hole in the bottom corner is a .30 cal and my black dot targets are the size of a dime.

It looks like it is about 2.5 bullets wide. So center to center it is 2.5-1 or 1.5 bullets wide....or .224+.112 = .336" But Hey, wouldn't it be easier for you to measure it with a ruler/vernier yourself???

Awesome, I will work up to 40 grns and look for signs of pressure. Thanks for the help :)

Thanks

I would of but I was pressed for time. I also couldn't bring the target and backing with me when I left. I was hoping to use a program like target calculator at a later time.
