I was thinking today a great stuff thread would be a good thing.

Products can be expensive or not, perfection is always a beautiful thing.

Here's a few of my favourite things.

Butler Creek Comfort stretch rifle slings, these are the best things ever. I lost mine in a move and bought a Browning last year for about 50% more, the thing won't stay adjusted and the pad is in the wrong place. This year I bought another Butler Creek, rifle weight is non-existent, stays in place and no need to hold on to it all the time. Just a great product.

Lee Case Trimmers, anyone who has ever used these knows how great they are. Simple, cheap, accurate and works great, when added to a power drill perfection is achieved.

MTM and Caseguard loading boxes. No need to say anything more.

Redding dies, just my favourite.

Sako Rifles, I've had all the different series of them including a new 85. Every one has shot well, most extremely well, all were stupidly easy to develop a load for and mostly I love the palm swell.

There's more but let's hear what you guys like.

What do you guys consider essential?

Ruger#1s....no finer looking or handling hunting rifle.(except for a Dakota Model 10 or maybe a Browning B78 :D ).....and good hunters only need 1 shot :stirthepot2:

7mm cartridges. There is such a thing as the perfect caliber.

Chronograph for reloading.

Progressive reloader for handguns.

10mm pistols.(any brand/make).....45 ACP a close 2nd.

Quality Optics.

x2 on the bore snakes! I now have 5 differnt sizes! Best thing ever!

x2 on the Butler creek sling.

I really like my Dillon primer flip tray.... I really can't belive how i used to do it before.

I am in the process of replaceing all of my dies with the new Hornady 'New dimension dies' I just love them.

For pistols, I am really getting to realise I LOVE the 1911, any stripe or calibre!

For rifles, I'm a big Remmy 700 fan!

Cheers!

Great idea MBns

x2 on the Butler Creek Sling, I bought mine in Souix Fall SD in 1995 and it still has lots of spring in it and has held up well to upwards of 25 hunting days per year. The shell holder is a waste of time as the ammo falls out, but this is a must have product.

Dewy Cleaning rods are awesome units

EZlap Sharpening sstones are very useful, I have had the same pen-type one for 28 years

Kelty daypacks, cannot destroy mine, its 14 years old

I will second the Redding Dies as the best out there

x2 on the Ruger #1's. I still have 3, even though I keep saying I am going to sell a couple, I just can't bring myself to do it.

Also, those cheap rapala / normark knives; best moose knife bar none (and no I have not tried a ceramic Boker, but the Rap is $30 or so and the Boker is what? $300?.

Oh, and Beretta O/U shotguns, built / designed to last.

I like the Lee primer hand tool thingy.

Gets my vote, too.

My other favorite bit of reloading kit is the RCBS Little Dandy fixed-rotor powder measure.

Not going to serve the average .458 shooter all that well, but handles smaller doses of fine-grained powders beautifully.

I'm going to add my support to Lee Trimmers, Bore Snakes and Ruger #1s and I need to see about those Butler Creek slings for my heavy assed Ruger #1s

To add some new ideas I think folding Sierra saws and Butt-Out tools are awesome for field dress. In fact I also think every outdoorsman should have a Samurai Shark knife sharpener. They're an "as seen on TV" type of product available at Canadian Tire. They are awesome for quickly getting a very sharp edge.

For the reloader, I think that the RCBS Trim Mate is a treat to have on your bench.
