Great Service from Krieger and Mystic!

I have to post a thank you to a few folks here.
To give the meat of the matter, I have a custom 6.5x47L in my possession that a Stiller Tac 30 and Krieger 1-8" #5.5 10 flute barrel was ordered for. The gun is great, and really hasn't been shot much; it just recently broke 250 rounds. So given that since the day it was first shot it has rarely climbed out of the .2's and .3's when I started having some trouble getting loads to shoot under .5 I investigated. With a shiny bore and a naked eye I could see a small mark in a groove just ahead of the lands. I swore a bit and figure I had done something to damage it, but sent it off to the boys in Kamloops to have it set back and rechambered. Mitch passed the rifle along to Mic McPhee and Mic twisted it apart and took a look with the bore scope. It was an inclusion! He could see where a bullet have pulled the inclusion out, and where it had dragged before fully seating into the bullet. Well bugger. It amazes me that the rifle still shoots in the .5" range with that!
I asked Mic to put it back together for now and I would call Krieger and see what they would do.
I have to say I was expecting the reasonable answer that would be given due to me purchasing and having the barrel installed back in 2008. That they are sorry to hear about the issue, but its been 5 years, etc. I really wasn't going to argue and would not have thought ill of them otherwise. To my surprise the customer service person I talked to (I believe his name was Che) immediately took up the cause and after a few questions asked me if I had a distributor I would prefer my new barrel to be sent to. Given that the person I bought it from is no longer in business and gave the Krieger boys a black eye, I had to turn to someone else. I asked if they could send it to Jerry at Mystic Precision. They said that would be just fine and have since sent me the paperwork for my order!
I contacted Jerry to let him know what was happening and without a hitch he took up the cause as well. I appreciated Jerry's attitude in all of this as he was not the original benefactor, but is going to handle everything at cost for me to receive my new barrel. That isn't customer service, that is benevolence (remember I didn't buy anything from him!)
I want to thank Mitch and Mic, Jerry at Mystic Precision and Krieger for going above and beyond reasonable to rectify this for me. Great folks!
 
I wish I would have the same luck with shilen. My barrel hasn't been the same even with the bad part cut off. Glad to hear they are looking after you.
 
I haven't dealt with Mcphee but Jerry is definitely top notch! He has always delivered great service and always been very generous with his time answering questions.

So far I have only used Shilen and Kreiger and it is great to hear that they stand behind their products. I wish more companies would.
 
I wanted to bump this up and let people know that Krieger shipped this barrel a few weeks ago. Jerry emailed me and I received the barrel a week later.
So impressed with all parties involved....
 
Fantastic story; really nice to read positive posts like this one.

As for Jerry's part in this; I would like to say I am surprised, but I am not. I have learned to expect nothing but top notch service and total customer satisfaction from him.

I have had nothing but positive responses from most firearms aftermarket suppliers/installers.
Can't say enough good about them.

This upbeat story simply reinforces that.

New here but Jerry got me started on another forum into long range shooting and was very patient with all of my questions couldn't ask for a nicer guy.
