In the third picture are they carrying Arisakas?
Certainly looks like it. Russia received a large number of Type 38 from ex-RN stocks. The troops could be either Whites or Reds.

BTW, Federvov designed his Avtomat 1916 around the 6.5x50SR round due to it's availability in Russia.
 
Can't honestly say that I know a lot about these armoured trains. Were they just armed cars attached to supply trains, or were they combat purposed packets?

hmm 8x 11 racks (that i can see) = 88 ppsh-41
71 rounds per drum x 88 = 6248 rounds....
900 Round per minute = that is an area denial weapon if I've ever seen one....

I'd hate to be under when that spent brass started falling...

You could get a Gewehr 98 with an extended magazine (not removeable though, just extended internal). Maybe it's sort of like a prototype of that?
