Great tool to improve accuracy...

My favorite use for a rear mono-pod is for cleaning at the range. Props the rifle up nice and flat with my front bi-pod doing the rest of the work. Outside of that I found a monopod more useful just to Hang onto and squeeze my hand for fine adjustment. Rear bag all the way.

I am with Caramel on this one, used to use bags until I went to the sako trg folding stock with adjustable monopod on the stock. Made bags obsolete for me.

Yesterday had a shooting session with the monopod and on the concept of my rifle it definetly give me a very good advantage... JP.

Can only praise the monopod quality, got great groups and a rock solid stability... JP.

That 300 metres target is awesome. I have never personally witnessed anyone produce a 10 shot 300m target that looked as good as that. I am not saying it can't be done with the right rifle, in the right hands and in the right conditions.

I have a Shillened stevens 200, I invested a total of $1200 before tax and before $500 glass.
At 300 yards I have shot a few 4 shot groups in the .4"s, ,5"s and .6"s.
I even have a couple of pictures. :D But we all know 4 is not a group. :D

When I shoot 10 shots, the groups can range from as good as 1.5", 2.0" and upto 2.5". :D I was aiming for a 2" gun at 300 yards when I stuck the thing together. So for the $$$s I am very hapy with sub MOA at 300.

It stands to reason that rifles with a price tag close to $7000 would have to at least have the ability to shoot around an 1" at 300 metres. It would be crazy and dissapointing for all concerned if they did not.

This rifle is just awsome, shooting it is just.. Wow all the time and so predictable, i am very lucky to have it... JP.
