Just thought I would relate a recent story.
I purchased a 8-32 x 50mm Vortex Crossfire off the EE. When it arrived, there didn't seem to be any damage so i accepted the package. It was several weeks before I got around to mounting the scope and taking it to the range. Now I know it's not their top of the line scope and I know my eyes aren't what they used to be but there was no way I could get the darn thing to focus properly. When shooting at 100, if I set the parallax to about 40 I could almost get it in focus
. In addition the sun shade had been squashed & was out of round so wouldn't thread into the scope bell.
I wrote a short note and included it with the scope and sent to Vortex Canada in Guelph, Ont. According to their policy, they forward them to the USA, where they make a determination as to warranty and if to repair/replace or whatever. They say to allow up to 6 weeks.
Well less than 10 days later a box arrives at the house with a BRAND NEW replacement and a note saying sorry for the inconvenience. NO fuss, no muss, no arguing, no nothing.
Man am I impressed ! Now that's good ole fashioned customer service!
