Bought a new spotting scope that arrived broken. Dealer wouldnt take it back so sent in for bushnell warranty service. It was back in less than 2 weeks and since the original model was discontinued, they sent me an upgraded model.

Very pleased with bushnell, so thought they deserved public recognition.

Bushnell know what "customer service" means & they practice it.

I sent some ranging binoculars in shortly before xmas...they sent a brand new pair back within a month....:)

Can you name the dealer?

After I mailed in for warranty service, they reached out an offered an exchange or to help me send in for warranty. Maybe because I made comments here and on google reviews. Since they did reach out after the fact, I deleted any bad reviews. I still wont shop there again...

Since I dont wanna bash anyone that "kinda tried" to help, I think Ill just keep it to myself respectfully. BUT, the issue is when a Dealer has FINAL SALE on optics. Watch for that...cause if they come broken, its on you...

Since when? I've had 100% failure rate on all my bushnell products over the years and every warranty issue took months, if not a year + to deal with, so gave up on them. If they're getting on the ball with things maybe they'd be worth a shot again. Sounds like many are still needing to use the warranty though, so then again maybe not...

In my experience their warranty has always been very fast, rarely more than five minutes. I have the good fortune of being able to go there in person and handing it to them over the counter. Every time Ive walked away with a new scope in hand.

It sounds like that dealer doesn't deserve your business, he should have done something for you.

Just asking. What scopes have you had problems with? Like, bottom end Bushnell banner/troph?y or elite tactical/DMR2/XRS2?

And how long ago did you have issues with mailingthem in?

Ive never had to mail in so i can't comment on that. i work 10 minute from the depot so i can walk in and walk out I under 10.

If your model is obsolete you usually get upgraded to the next higher model.

I bought a cheap fixed 10 (they're like 300ish new, so not exactly S&B territory lol) for $150. It #### the bed. Took it in and got a new one. The new one was effed out the box. I obviously was not amused. I went back and talked to the repair guy and let him know that i wasn't happy especially since i buy a lot of bushnell scopes. While talking i mentioned how good my DMR2 was. So he tells me, since i don't have x10 in stock anyways.....let me call you tomorrow and see what i can do. The next day he calls and says "if you want to give us $1k all'in, we'll upgrade you to a DMR2. So i got a DMR2 for $1150. Kind of hard to complain.

My original DMR2 i got because i had a 6-24x50 mil ret/moa turrets that i bought years ago for $900. I Took it in because while it worked, i had this inkling something was up with it but couldn't put my finger on it. Upon inspection he said the parallax was a bit off. Not much, but enough that he was replacing it.....with a 6-24x50 mil/mil w/illuminated reticle (retail ~$1500). Later i contacted bushnell usa because the amount of actual elevation didn't match the website (which wasn't a big deal.....i was just verifying if the website was a typo or if the scope was off). They replied that it was a typo, but offered either a 20moa rail to make up the difference in elevation (but not for my rifle) OR if i paid $500, they'd give me a DMR2. So ultimately for $1400.....i got a DMR2.

So conclusion: while their DMR2/XRS2 line are REALLY good scopes....they're obviously not an S&B or TT.......but you're also not paying 4.5-6k for them either. Having said that, i won't touch a bushnell that costs less than $1k new. Above that they're pretty decent. Ymmv :)
