I went on the green mountain website and I couldn't find any dealers in Canada. Is there any dealer in the US you have had experience with purchasing 10/22 barrels from ?

I don't have a mind set for any kind right now but I'm just weighing out options and looking for places to buy online I can get in Canada.

Anyone know what make Dlask's barrels are? I assume he's making them from blanks but who's blanks...

Barrels by GM, Kidd, A&B, Clark and VQ are all made from Lothar Walther blanks. The difference is in the reamers used, whether they do bore lapping and in the quality of their gunsmithing.

From my research, Kidd...

There are many complaints about GM on Rimfirecentral. Their quality control seems to be hit-and-miss... and you see a lot of them for sale on US forums. But it's tough to say, as most rimfire testing is done at only 50 yards, which tells you absolutely nothing about how they perform at longer distances. The real test of a rimfire barrel is 200 yard results for me. I want 20 shot groups that are clay pigeon size (at most) under calm conditions. Agent Mango's GM barrel performs well at long range, but I didn't feel like taking the gamble.

Needless to say, I just ordered a Kidd barrel from Fabsports... we'll see how it performs.

NEVER had a problem with any of my GM barrels.

GM and Dlask barrels are high on my "best bang for the buck" list.

BOTTOM LINE.....It all comes down to what your going to use it for and how much you want to spend.

Nope, never have that problem. Sorry to hear that you do though... they make pills for it that might help you.

Yes, it's an opinion, but a prevalent one I guess, since there are dozens of threads on numerous sites saying the same thing. But hey, as long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters in the end.
